THERE was a road closure in place due to a "police incident" this morning (Monday, January 16) in Lowton.
Sandy Lane was closed both ways due the incident between Newton Road and Walter Leigh Way.
There has been a diversion in place for a bus route.

As of 10.45am, live traffic tracker Inrix stated: "Sandy Lane both ways closed, queueing traffic due to police incident between A572 Newton Road and Walter Leigh Way.
"Diversion: Bus route 10".
In an update, it was confirmed the road has since been reopened following the incident.
The Journal has asked Greater Manchester Police about the incident.
